Ron Martinez

Ron Martinez

Founder, Inventor

Ron Martinez is a longtime innovator in media, commerce, and intellectual property. He’s a prolific inventor and former global Vice President, Intellectual Property Innovation for Yahoo! Inc. Ron splits his time between southwest France and San Francisco.

Over the course of his career he’s built consumer and enterprise technologies, products, and businesses. Recent projects include Aer.io Retail Network, a decentralized bookselling platform he led the entrepreneurial design and development of (acquired by Ingram Content Group, 2016). Early on, Ron invented seminal, cryptographically-enabled, limited edition, transactable digital object technologiesused in virtual economies as in the pioneering massively multiplayer game 10Six, which he designed and produced, and in consumer banking systems.

Design and Community Development

Karole Irène is an accomplished designer, artist, and online community development and curation professional. She was a co-founder of Aer.io, the decentralized marketplace for bookselling, and leads multiple creative and community and business developments including those for Transium Blockchain Lab, creator of NFTShirts, both in her native France, and in San Francisco.

Karole works closely with the design and development team, helping to shape our products and, serving as an in-house advocate for those who use our services to connect with audiences and end users.

Her artwork is also part of the premier collection here on NFTShirts, under the AtelierKISM design and art brand.

Barry Threw

Barry Threw

Creative Technologist

Barry Threw is an independent technologist, designer, and cultural producer exploring ways the engagement of art and technology can promote transdisciplinary understanding and systemic affect. With over a decade of experience leading forward-looking projects using experiential technologies and immersive media, he consults with individuals and institutions developing tools, processes, and platforms to support creative, technical, and protocultural infrastructure.

Threw’s work has been presented internationally at festivals including ORF Musikprotokol, Graz, Austria; Club Transmediale, Berlin, DE; Mutek, Montreal, CA; Cynetart, Dresden, DE; Siggraph, San Diego, US. His installation work has been shown at venues including the Beijing 2008 Olympics, Sacramento International Airport, CalIT2 at the University of California San Diego, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and the Gray Area Foundation for the Arts in San Francisco, CA.

Richard Thompson

Richard Thompson

Business Advisor, IP and Contract Law

Richard Thompson attended Harvard College and Stanford Law School where he received a J.D. in 1980. He went on to became a partner in the firm of Bloom, Hergott, Diemer & Cook, one of the leading motion picture entertainment law firms in the industry, Richard served as first Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and General Counsel and then later promoted to Chief Operating Officer of The Brodia Group, which developed and licensed a consumer payments platform that facilitated secure online payments for the customers of major credit card companies. He has now returned to his practice with Bloom, Hergott.

Richard represents talent and corporate clients in motion pictures, television, new media and licensing. He has spoken extensively regarding legal issues in the new media business at, among other places, USC, UCLA, Pepperdine, Southwestern, Loyola, the Practicing Law Institute and the Los Angeles Copyright Society. He is a past president of the Los Angeles Copyright Society.
